Alerted by outrageous claims about our product the FTC contacted everybody in the business about three years ago.  They warned us about making outrageous claims and breaking anti-spam laws.  We don't do any email marketing and we went through our website and made sure that we conformed to their guidelines.  Everybody in the business did.  Since that time many new vendors have popped up making outrageous claims again.  This was one of them.
