NFL HGH Testing Update

In Athletics, HGH in Pro Sports

According to two influential polticians, Darrell Issa (R-California) and Elijah Cummings (D-Maryland), the NFL Player’s Association is using stalling tactics to avoid HGH testing for the players. They have came out and send that they are highly disappointed at the lack of progress for the HGH testing in the NFL and they believe it sends the wrong message to kids about HGH usage in sports.

After a recent meeting with Rodger Goodell, the politicians announced that HGH testing would start immediately. Later, Goodell and Jeff Pash announced that the testing will start within 10 days. Now, the NFLPA says their are still hurdles before they agree to the HGH testing.

The two week deadline given to the NFLPA is approaching but the NFLPA says they still need more information before they agree to the testing. They even said that the World Anti-Doping Agency wouldn’t let them see what they had asked to see in a meeting on August 24th.

So, what is the hold up? Well one side or the other is trying to force something that the other side doesn’t agree with. Which side is right? Only time will reveal that information. As for the players, some are ready for the testing and are looking forward to making the game completely even again and some are trying to avoid the testing. Boomer Esiason, a former quarterback in the NFL, has came out and said that he believes around 20% of the NFL players are using HGH. Maybe that is what is causing the hold up!
